I absolutely love hummingbirds but will probably never see them in their natural beauty. I live in Germany and all we see is sparrows and pigeons. They sound like little helicopters 🚁

How beautiful

red nectar kills them slowly. Make your own or buy the clear nectar. 4 parts tap water to 1 part white refined sugar (use nothing but clear nectar, AND use nothing but white refined sugar). Heat water then take off burner and add the sugar and mix until dissolved. Use only a metal spoon to mix (not wooden, because bacteriia). Do not pour into (plastic) containers when still hot. It can be frrozen to be used later as well. Can be stored in fridge for up to 2 weeks. Throw out if/when you see anything floating in the mixture (bacteria/mold)

I got a humming bird to land on my finger once. It was awesome. I could not feel any weight from the bird at all just the grip from its feet.

I had a girl hummingbird come to me for a while. But then I didn’t get to see her for about a year. Just yesterday I saw her again, and called her over! She actually recognized my voice and came to me!!!! 🌺😁 I didn’t know that hummingbirds will still remember a person even if they hadn’t seen them for a long time!!!
